Integrity is about doing the right thing. It is something everyone can do, but not everyone chooses to do it. I am going to explain how integrity can be seen in the characters of the bible. The characters I will explore are Queen Esther and Job.
Esther shows integrity
Esther had integrity by showing she was a Jew and standing up for her people. She put her life on the line to save her people but she never said she was a Jew when she was crowned Queen. She could've had everything she wanted but she didn’t ask for it all she wanted was to set her people free but she was too scared to tell the king because the king might have found out that she was a Jew and she would’ve died so that’s why she kept it a secret. Also, Esther was scared because no one was allowed to be in the inner court unless invited by the king and she was scared if she walked in there and she died. Haman was an evil man; he hated Mordecai because everyone bowed to Haman except Mordecai; he refused to because he worshiped the one and only heavenly GOD. Esther was so terrified because the king didn’t know she was a Jew and Esther showed integrity by begging for people she was putting her life down to protect her people and Esther told the king that she was a Jew and Esther told the king all of Haman plots and then she still lived. But in the end, she saved her people and they lived in unison.
Job shows Integrity
Another character who shows Integrity is Job. Job showed integrity because he was not guilty of the things that his friends accused him of doing. He was what he truly appeared to be a good man of GOD. He remained righteous even when he was tempted to be in other ways. Job was a strong man; he had the guts to say a speech and Job was a very faithful man and he was a good man of God.
Summary
In conclusion, this essay is about 2 people of my choice like we had to choose 2 people in the bible that was related to integrity. I chose Queen Esther and Job. Even though they were under immense pressure, in a life or death situation they showed integrity and did the right thing. But they always believed and trusted God.
