Courage Writting Snapshot

In class I have been reading about Jesus christ's life and looking for acts of courage. I then had thirty minutes to write about it. 

Intro

Do you wanna be courageous just like Jesus? And do you wanna learn from him? Well, Jesus was a wise courageous man. He never gave up on God and he never bowed down to any other idols. There have been many times when Jesus has been courageous and had courage. For example when Jesus sacrificed his life on the cross for our sins, when he went to the devil in the wilderness, when they were at sea on a large boat and Jesus rebuked the storm and calmed them down. You see, there are many things in this world that Jesus has done. Jesus was scared through-out all those activities but he never gave up because his father was with him all the way.

The wilderness

Jesus went to the wilderness where the devil was. The trip took forty days and nights and Jesus fasted for that many days and nights. Jesus got there and the devil (Satan) was surprised, Jesus was skinny and he almost couldn't stand but one thing that he carried was the holy bible and mostly every word that he declared to the devil was the word of God. Satan spoke “ if you are really the Son of God turn these stones into bread”, but Jesus repudiated and he said “Man shall not live on bread alone but every word that comes from my mouth is the word of God”. Jesus said “ Get away from me, come and worship the one and only true God”, then the devil vanished and the angels came upon him. Jesus was courageously bold, he did his job he was trying to convince the devil to change his way and worship the one and only God. But the devil dined him in all ways. We can learn from this by being bold and to turn from your wicked ways and to speak the word of God to people.

The storm

One day Jesus was in a boat. Then a while later, a raging storm came upon them. Jesus' disciples were petrified. But Jesus didn’t know that because he was asleep. They were frightened so they woke up Jesus and Jesus said “ Where is your faith in God”, so Jesus rebuked (Speak with authority) the storm and told his disciples to calm down and everything is gonna be ok. Jesus knew the storm was coming but he still went on the boat. We can learn from this by when you're in this situation we can be like Jesus, calm and rebuke the storm or pray to God for good weather.

 

Conclusion

In short, there are many ways that we can learn from Jesus and how we can be courageous. We need to be like Jesus bold and to never let fear get in our way.

 

Probability - Maths

 This term we have been learning about probability. The first slide was easy but when I got to the 2 second one it got confusinger. Most of my class was stuck on it so we did a leason with pur teacher, and she helped us then we got it. I worked on it with my friend and we completed because we are smart, but mostly I did all the work well she just did the little extra's.  

Story time

This term we have been learning about narrative writting. I have struggled to put show not tell in my narrative but kind of conquered it . I have worked on show not telling, but my main goals are doing more showing not telling and putting more interesting words instead of boring words.

The last man standing 

The neglected, derelict, city was overtaken by verdure. Cracks are everywhere on the endless highways. Roots, plants and grass were everywhere. Buildings were being destroyed and taken over by vicious plants and long Kikuyu grass. No one has inhabited earth for over 6 months. I was the only one left. I must survive and I must find out the truth about this tech device.

I was in search of a metal tech device. I strolled into another building and I pushed a big, black, heavy box out the window. Junk comes tumbling out of it. This is it! What I have been searching for is that device. The device fell flat on the ground and my deep brown eyes saw it. He took a leap of faith and jumped out of the building. My jet black hair flew back and blue orbs travelled down his right arm through his wrist. At last, he gets to the ground safe and sound. I picked it up but I didn’t expect it would be a see-through device. I pulled out a little round picture. She was as pretty as a picture on a wall, she had auburn hair flowing down her back and her viridescent eyes shone in the shimmering sunlight. I whispered to the picture “I will find you no matter what happens and I will always keep you in my heart”. I would always look at this picture and it will always give me flashbacks of when I was with her because nothing will ever stop me from getting away from my true love. 

Suddenly, a SKYlinerX3  came up out of nowhere, as it spawned from thin air. Highly tech guns aimed at his brain and forehead so he slowly put the device away and ran like Usain bolt and all you can hear is his shoes tapping on the ground, running again trying to survive but the controlled aircraft wouldn’t get off his back. I jumped on his scratched, black, wide-handled motorbike and whizzed off, aircraft still on my tail. They will never stop until I’m caught or shot dead, going up the verdure cracked highway swerving all the obstacles in front of him, It was life or death.

The aircraft took aim Bang! Bang! Bang!  Two of them missed, the last one flew across my leg making a big slit in it. Screaming in agony, blood leaking down leaving little red spots on the rusty dusty road. I left that in the past and kept going on fighting to survive, and I was never gonna give up. I was Sweating like a hungry dog. I stopped and the Skyliners X3 flew over me, Bing! I had an idea. I saw a ramp and drove up there, donk! Landing on the SkylinerX3 my motorbike exploded in the background. Shing!  I lifted my right arm in the air and slowly I creeped my arm down to get my sword. I was struggling to hold my balance while also trying to kill the SKYlinerX3. They were never gonna give up and neither was I. I forced my sword into the machine we were going down in circles, it was sickening me. The SKYlinerX3 went down, me still holding on. Crash! We hit the ground. I went tumbling on the rocky, grassy hard ground. I was thanking the Lord for still being alive, but scarred everywhere on me, my cut on my leg got even bigger and I knew that there was gonna be a big bruise on my left leg. I thought it was the end of my journey, so I shut my eyes for a little while.

I opened my eyes. It was like I was in paradise, but I was saved by civilians. They got me where they had been hiding for 6months. It was like a little rat town but in a medium-size, and big metal gates were at the front, so none of the vicious robots couldn’t get in. I was bandaged up by a random person.  Before you were allowed to go anywhere you had to sign in and you would get coordinates and a map for where you are staying. I put down my name and my coordinates were 8,4. I stayed in a diamond, light blue, glassed house with 6 other people, but one thing was missing. Something wasn’t right. I went to the fountain sitting there looking at my reflection. Next minute... I spotted a familiar red-headed lady walking past in the reflection of the water she was getting donuts, I turned around and tapped her on the shoulder “Matha is that you?” I whispered to her. “Jacob,” she said in an extremely shocked tone. After that, we consumed all of the luxurious donuts. Then I woke up. Alone and lonely. The blackness of the city surrounded me, “it was all a dream”, I muttered to myself

Be Courageous

  In class, we have been learning about courage. We had to choose a quote that we like and create a motivational poster about it. I like this quote because it takes courage to stand up and do things in front of people and because I'm shy to stand up and speak in front of people if I do I will speak like a tiny little mouse.

I learned how to that a good poster is eye-catching and has a purpose. In mind, I learned how to group and to use limited colours to try make it look representable. Also to use different fonts to make the keywords stand out.

My Basic fact and fractions goals

 This term, I have set my goals for my basic facts and fractions for this term, term 4. I have moved up to brick 24 and now I'm trying hard to use all I got to complete my goals for this term.

Cold narrative goals

 In term 4, I did a cold task on any story. I did my cold task and I wrote about 4 paragraphs, and now I'm doing my goals for what I need to put in my story and what I need to work on. 

One tick means - I'm developing (I'm working on it and getting better)

Wringer

 In class, I have been doing a study on a book called 'Wringer'. What is Wringer? Well, when I started reading the story I didn't know what a Wringer was either but when you read the prologue you would what it is. A Wringer is when you are 10yrs old and go out and twist a birds neck which is sad and brutal.
