This is my reading response on: The science of Rongoa My class and I have been learning how to summarise a text. I like summarising because it's a brief statement of the main point of something, I think I still need more work on it. Enjoy reading my response.
You are great at reciprocal reading Mahina. I really enjoy hearing you discuss ideas in the text with your reading group. A word strategy you did not mention is looking for parts of the word you may know and using the context clues. Glossaries and dictionaries are great, so I'm happy you mentioned that. Your text summary shows you understood what it was mostly about and that you are confident using text features. Well done.
