About plants

We have been learning how to write a good explanation. I learned how to structure my introduction properly and use subheadings for my paragraphs. I struggled the most on punctuation and De;de sentences I still am but getting there. I also learned about synthesizing it was the hardest thing ever.

The life of Plants

Introduction

Do you know how plants excrete? Well plants excrete by getting rid of, they get rid of oxygen but when they get rid of something the leaves die off. Plants have pores on their leaves but the pores aren’t visible so if you pick up a plant and try to look for the pores you can’t see them because they are visible. Plants need lots of nutrients for them to keep living and growing. This writing will explain the process of plants.

Transpiration

Firstly, Transpiration is the loss of water from a plant in the form of water vapour. Water is absorbed by roots from the soil and transported as a liquid to the leaves via xylem. After that, in the leaves, the small pores allow water to escape as a vapour. Transpiration is good for plants; it helps them to live and to get rid of water vapour, if the plant doesn’t get the water vapour out it could be likely to die. Therefore the process of transpiration provides the plant with evaporation cooling, nutrients, carbon dioxide entry and water to provide plant structure.

Osmosis

Secondly, Osmosis is movement of water in a living cell into a solution of higher concentration to where it has a low concentration. There are three types of Osmosis: hypertonic, isotonic and hypotonic. The process of Osmosis starts in the plants root hairs absorbing water (suctions up the water),then goes through the xylem vessels, and finally travels out the pores of the leaf. Eventually, the leaf will slowly die off. That is a mixture of Osmosis and Transpiration.

About Plants

Lastly, plants have to be planted in a moist environment, plants also need sunlight, water and air to survive throughout the wild. Plants are magnificent, they make us humans live, people can excrete too but we won’t die. Flowers need sunlight for them to grow. Also the bright colour on the leaves attracts bees and butterflies, the roots in the plants help the plant to not blow away or fall over. Most roots are brown but they're actually white the roots are just brown because they get planted in and all the dirt falls on them and makes them brown.

Conclusion

In summary, these are the main ideas about the life of plants. So a plant produces things for us like nectar and oxygen, what plants mainly need for survival is water and sunlight; the sunlight to help them grow and the water to help them survive. Osmosis and transpiration is good for plants too.
